So you need to write another scene piece: 300 words at least, on a scene/place that you spent about 15 minutes in. Review the sheet I handed out in class for tips on collecting details. Also, in the story do not say where you are. Leave that out. I want you to rely on the power of details to show where you are, what you're seeing, hearing, smelling ... But put the location as your article's title.
For example:
Newsroom, at a desk in the northwest corner, St. Louis, Mo.
The heating system hums, drowning out the phones ringing and the editors barking....blah blah blah
To review:
300 words at least on a scene
Emailed to me by Friday night.
